Saturday’s Touchstones Meditations quote is by Sydney Smith, and it states “It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do a little. Do what you can. Today, I will remember that I am not alone. I have help in many forms, and I will do what I can.”

This quote is all about being productive and achieving a lot, even when we feel overwhelmed because of very big project or too much tasks. Just work a step by step, each day, until the project or tasks are finished. 

Card Reading for Saturday, 4.9.16

The Lovers card, 6^th card, is in reverse, and it indicates that you feel that something isn’t working out for you and you are getting tired of pursuing it because you might feel like you are wasting your time. You might feel that there might be too much negative energy around you, maybe making you lose hope. (Yeah, I do feel like I need a change of some kind).

The Page of Wands card indicates that you are now moving into a new chapter in your life by moving in another direction in order to help you pursue your goals. (I have been checking out OC Meetups in order to check out what is out there nowadays. So far, it is an interesting social engagement, just to meet different people and see what others are currently doing. Let's hope something comes out from it).

The Magician card is also in reverse, and it indicates that you might feel unproductive this Saturday. (Yeah, I feel a little unproductive because I am seeking other ways of doing things in order to change my path and improve situations).

In the numerology aspect of this reading, these three cards add up to 8, and the number 8 means power. You have the power to change your life and make everything work for you.

Friday’s Touchstones meditations quote is by Dick Gregory, and it states “I’m not into isms and asms. There isn’t a Catholic moon and a Baptist sun. I know the universal God is universal…I feel that the same God-force that is the mother and father of the pope is also the mother and father of the loneliest wino on the planet. Today, I am grateful for God’s care. May I learn to increase in trust and knowledge of God.” 

I checked out a sample tarot card reading on youtube, for fun, and I added a summary of my day with the reading in order to compare my actual day with Friday's reading. 

Wheel of the Year Card Reading for Friday, 4.8.16

All these cards look very colorful and dramatic. 

The Tower card, 16^th card, depicts a tree being struck by lightning in a storm, and it falls down to the ground. All the fruits fall, and there are black birds flying around the tree. Something dramatic happens on Friday which will create a major upheaval. (When I woke up this morning, I got ready for the gym and changed my clothes. But after I ate my breakfast, I noticed that it is pouring rain outside. I had a feeling it was going to rain because it did look cloudy and cold, but I wasn’t actually sure it will until it actually did. Then, when I noticed this card stating an “upheaval,” I thought to myself what if there is some kind a major disruption or violent occurrence happening this morning because there tends to be lots of car accidents occurring at certain areas here, and sometimes the weather affects these disruptive situations. So, I decided to skip my yoga workout this morning).

The 8 of Chalices card depicts a woman crying because a man has left her. It could indicate that there is a distance between you and something or someone, but it is for a good reason. (I am not sure who this person or thing is that I am kept for a distance from during this time). 

The 4 of Chalices card depict a woman sitting by the window waiting patiently for something as she watches the rain outside. (This card fits today well because when it rains, I often either lay on the bed or sit on the couch watching the rain come down, and wondering about stuff as I patiently wait to see if anything I am waiting for occurs). 

There appears to be more distance between you and something you love or close to or there might be some kind of temporary setback in your life. But this is only temporary. (Yeah, I think in my case, there might be some kind of temporary setback). 

In the numerology aspect of this reading, these three cards add up to 28, and the number 28 reduces to 1. The number 1 means it is time to start and create a new chapter in your life. (I agree with this one that I need to start and create a new chapter in my life. I signed up for another OCMeetUp this evening, and I am hoping it will direct me toward the right direction in my writing career because it is someone’s book tour, and he talks about books and business).

4 Steps to Get Dream Job & Make $$$$$$

At 6pm, I went to the Eureka Corporation to check out an author’s book tour. Chris Guillebeau wrote the book, Born For This, which is about starting up a business with $100 as well as finding the work that you are meant to do in order to live happier and healthier life. It basically involves four steps.

1.       Make decisions based on joy, money, and flow. Then, analyze your progress by making sure you are taking the right actions and moving forward as well as making money. Ask yourself, “Did today matter,” and analyze your progress and your daily productivity.

2.       Create a Side Hustle and think like an entrepreneur. Try to do other jobs on the side in order to have some money coming in, especially during the beginning of your startup.

3.       Don’t choose a niche because it really isn’t necessary and it most likely limit you to other opportunities.

4.       If it isn’t working, then be willing to just GIVE UP and try a new way of doing things.  It is important to be open to change and new ideas as well as being adaptable and flexible.

In order to win a career lottery, make active decisions on a daily basis as well as don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Making mistakes is all about growing, learning, and seeking better ways of doing things that will eventually lead you to success. You can learn a lot by the mistakes you make because these mistakes provide information about what you need to improve and do better in order to help you make better decisions.

I think I am doing what I am meant to do. I just need to find a better way of earning money by doing this because I am basically just doing this for fun. So, I think I need to find a different path.
